The Human Bean company currently has over 260 locations throughout the United States, with the idea that they still treat people like kind “Human Beans.” This double-sided, stand alone coffee service drive-thru prides itself on community spirit. The Design-Build team’s goal of Human Bean is to create a familiar and comfortable environment to keep their customers coming back time and time again. The Design-Build approach for this project combines the colors and textures reflective of pastoral coffee farming, brought into a contemporary setting. Site design for this project was critical due to the busy traffic flow, not only within the existing center, but also the site being surrounded by two four-lane streets at a busy intersection.
